The pressure on cities will increase substantially in the years ahead, in anticipation of various transitions. Growing populations raise demand in the fields of energy, water, food supply and mobility. What does that mean in terms of liveability? How do we develop attractive residential and business areas that are capable of change and adaptation? How do we expand the economic, ecological, societal, and spatial resilience of cities?
